CDC Updates International Travel requirements effective december 6, 2021
Yet another change to US international travel requirements! If you’ve traveled internationally this year, you know that a negative covid test is required to return to the US.
You cannot enter the USA by air without presenting a negative covid test.
Effective December 6, 2021 there are changes to TEST TIMING.
Starting next week, all travelers ages 2+ with a flight departing a foreign country bound for the US are required to show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than ONE day before travel.
This is regardless of vaccination status; all travelers must now test 1 day prior to travel.
Previously, this test timing was 3 days for fully vaccinated travelers and 1 day prior for unvaccinated travelers.
