Hello! We have pre-reserved rooms with a special set rate for the travel window of May 4-9 2022. The special group rates are valid 3 days before and 3 days after this window. Guests may arrive and depart whenever they’d like, but please note the resort requires a 3 night minimum stay.

All Inclusive resorts are priced per person, based on how many individuals are booked in a room.

The rates listed are PER PERSON and include:

• Hotel Accommodations
• All Inclusive Meal Plan – Also includes all beverages including alcohol
• Round trip shared transportation between the destination airport & your resort
• Hotel, Tax & gratuities
• Wedding events & activities

Optional Travel insurance is available to protect your investment. See insurance FAQ below for more details.

• 24 hour All Inclusive
• Welcome cocktail and refreshing towel upon arrival
• Free WI-FI throughout the entire resort.
• Free mini bar: beer, sodas, water, snack, re-stocked daily
• 12 bars located in different areas of the hotel including 6 swim-up bars. 4 bars are exclusive for Elegance Club clients.
• Sports bar located on the Mexican Street open from 6 pm to 4 am.
• 7 restaurants, 6 of them a la carte for dinner. Unlimited visits allowed to all restaurants, reservations required only in the Gourmet Restaurant which is adults only (+18yrs), or the Japanese (7 Teppanyaki tables). Lobster included at the Beach Restaurant. Dress code applies.
• Room service included (06:00am to 0:00am Family section) (24hr Elegance Club)
• Total number of Pools through the resort (12), plus (8) integrated Jacuzzis. (8) Pools are climatized in winter. 1 zero-entry pool. Opening hours 8am to 6pm.
• Spacious gym equipped with a wide variety of cardio and weight machines, separate room for Pilates and spinning.

Do I need a passport? Expand

If you already have a passport, please check the expiration date. The U.S. State Department recommends that international travelers have 6 months of validity on their passport after their return trip date.

Is COVID testing required for travel? Expand

To Enter Mexico: Currently, Mexico does not require any type of negative COVID test to enter the country.

To Return to the USA: Effective January 26, 2021, the US *does* require a negative COVID test to re-enter the US after international travel. Nearly every resort is providing complimentary testing on-site at the resort for guests.

This could change before next year, so we will keep you updated if this requirement goes away.

As of May 2021, vaccinations do not exempt anyone from testing, though this could change before February 2022.

How is the group monitoring COVID-19? Expand

As we all know, we are in unprecedented times and we understand that guests may have concerns about travel.

Resorts are currently allowed to be open to reduced occupancy to allow for social distancing.  Resorts are regularly selling out since they are held to this lower than normal occupancy. This is why we recommend booking early to get your first choice or room types and/or dates.

I have personally made 10+ international trips since June 2020, all in the post-COVID era. I am also lived in Playa del Carmen, Mexico over winter 2021. We are monitoring the situation closely and communicating with Ashley & Colin. If travel policies change for 2022 travel, we are ready to be nimble and work with the group to update timelines and deadlines if necessary.  Thank you!

Is Travel Insurance available? Expand

Because group reservations at all inclusive resorts are pre-paid and non-refundable, travel insurance is encouraged to protect your investment.  Life is unpredictable; plans can change.

The cost of insurance is based on your age, your state of residency and the total cost of your trip. Due to this, travel insurance prices will be quoted for each individual guest.

• Without insurance, there are no refunds should your plans change
• Without insurance, you will also not have any medical coverage for mishaps or catastrophic events.
• Your US health insurance will likely not work outside of the United States; please read the FAQ below for more detail.

Yes!  Initial deposits are due on November 10, 2021. There are no set requirements for payments, as long as final payments are made by the deadline.  Final payments are due on January 26, 2022.

What is a room block? Expand

This means that the group has paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms for your group.

• The couple has signed a contract with the resort and has committed to a minimum number of rooms
• Only rooms booked with Alpaca Your Bags Travel count toward this contract
• The resort has a 3 night minimum stay requirement, but you are welcome to  come earlier or stay later!
• We have reserved several different room types for you to choose from. Descriptions follow this FAQ

I am sharing a room with another invited guest. How does that work? Expand

Yes! Please coordinate with your roommate and designate ONE person to fill out the reservation form.

Reservation forms should be one per ROOM, not one per person. When I get your form, I will email both of you and explain next steps.

If you and your roommate live at different addresses, please make sure to include the second passenger’s contact info. This can go in the notes field.

What happens if I don’t book with Alpaca Your Bags? Expand

The couple has paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms for your group. They have a group contract that allows them to offer additional benefits for their guests.

There are several reasons why you should honor the group’s wishes and book the hotel portion with the group:

• The group has worked with me to negotiate a contract for the ENTIRE group. This includes a special set rate and included transportation.
• Groups are given priority status at the resort, so you might miss out on some VIP treatment.
• Groups are given priority room assignments, so if you book directly, you’re likely getting a room that couldn’t be sold to a group. It will be leftover inventory, probably in a undesirable location away from everyone else.
• Groups are given priority in terms of an oversold situation. If the hotel over sells, your group is protected but his reservation is not. You could be walked to another location.

Guests who do not book within the group contract unfortunately:

• Will not get the group rates
• Will have to pay up front vs. over time.
• Will not receive any pre-departure, trip support or post-trip support from me.
• Unfortunately I cannot assist with travel arrangements made outside of the group, nor can I assist in the event of an emergency.

 

What about airfare? Expand

While the group requests that you book your room with the group, you are welcome to book your own airfare. ​

Due to contract deadlines, we recommend booking your hotel room as early as possible and adding air when you’re ready.

If you book your own air, please forward your air confirmation email to me no later than March 2, 2022.  This is how we schedule your transportation pick up at your destination.

Guests who do not submit their air information by the deadline will forfeit their included transfers.

If you would like assistance with air, we are happy to help! There is a $25 ticketing fee included in all of our air quotes.

Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres offers a luxurious getaway .This resort is for guests seeking a sophisticated vacay with a variety of facilities and services in an All-inclusive resort.. 3. Submit!  Once we get it, we will review & send an invoice for you to review & approve. Kindly note our business hours, 9a-5p CT Mon-Thurs and 9a-3p CT on Friday.
