Hello! Alpaca Your Bags Travel will be escorting a special, limited group to Kenya in Fall 2027. You should plan to arrive in Kenya on November 4 and will depart from Kenya on November 14.  This 11 day/10 night itinerary (plus travel time) has a cost of $11,935 per person (assuming double occupancy. Pricing does not include international flights and insurance

DEADLINES
Due to safari logistics, this is a limited itinerary and is capped at 12 passengers total. 
A deposit 25% per person is required at booking.
A second 25% installment is due by AUGUST 19, 2026
A third 25% installment is due by Feb 17, 2027
The remaining installment is due by June 9, 2027.

    Nairobi - Nanyuki – Masai Mara – Diani – Nairobi.
  • Private transfers throughout the journey, including airport pickups/drop-offs.
  • Accommodation 10 nights at luxury lodges, camps, and beach resorts as per the itinerary.
  • All meals included except on day of arrival, lunch on day 8 & 10 and dinner on the day of departure.

  • International flights to and from Nairobi.
  • Travel insurance (medical, baggage, cancellation).
  • Hot Air Balloon ride $530 pp (subject to change).
  • Personal expenses such as laundry, telephone calls, minibar, and shopping.
  • Additional meals and drinks not specified in the itinerary (e.g., premium wines, cocktails, or à la carte dining)
  • Any required or recommend vaccinations prior to travel
  • Support is available for all non-included items

Some vaccines are recommended for Kenya. The CDC and WHO recommend the following vaccinations for Kenya: typhoid, cholera, hepatitis A, polio, yellow fever, chikungunya, rabies, hepatitis B, meningitis, influenza, COVID-19, pneumonia, chickenpox, shingles, Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis) and measles, mumps and rubella (MMR).  We recommend consulting with a travel medicine clinic such as Passport Health.  Passport Heath has locations all over the US and is a great resource (I've used them for years!)

Because reservations are pre-paid and non-refundable, travel insurance is encouraged to protect your investment. Life is unpredictable; plans can change.

Without insurance, there are no refunds should your plans change. 
Without insurance, you will also not have any medical coverage for mishaps or catastrophic events. Your US health insurance will likely not work outside of the United States; so medical coverage is imperative.

The cost of insurance is based on your age, your state of residency and the total cost of your trip. Due to this, travel insurance prices will be quoted for each guest.

This itinerary is limited to 12 passengers only and cannot be increased. This journey will sell out, so booking early is recommended. Reservations will be
accepted on a first come, first served basis as confirmed with a paid deposit

DO I NEED A PASSPORT?

A blue passport book (not card) is required for international air travel, including for children & babies. Adult passports are valid for 10 years, child passports are only valid for 5 years. If you are traveling with children, please check their expiration date! SENTRI cards and Enhanced Drivers Licenses are not valid for international air travel.

Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates, and have at least 2 blank pages for visas and immigration stamps.

Yes! Please coordinate with your roommate and designate ONE person to fill out the reservation form.

Reservation forms should be one per cabin, not one per person. When I get your form, I will email both of you and explain next steps.

If you and your roommate live at different addresses, please make sure to include the second passenger's contact info. This can go in the notes field.

Absolutely. Arriving 1 day earlier is often recommended so you can adjust to the time change. This is a jam packed itinerary so please be rested and ready to hit the ground running!  If you'd like to extend with more beach time (or even a Gorilla Trekking adventure in Uganda, extensions are available.
