Because group reservations at all inclusive resorts are pre-paid and non-refundable, travel insurance is encouraged to protect your investment. Life is unpredictable; plans can change.

The cost of insurance is based on your age, your state of residency and the total cost of your trip. Due to this, travel insurance prices will be quoted for each individual guest.

Without insurance, there are no refunds should your plans change. Without insurance, you will also not have any medical coverage for mishaps or catastrophic events. Your US health insurance will likely not work outside of the United States; please read the FAQ below for more detail.

what about airfare?

what about airfare?

While the group requests that you book your room with the group, you are welcome to book your own airfare.

Due to contract deadlines, we recommend booking your hotel room as early as possible and adding air when you're ready.

If you book your own air, please forward your air confirmation email to me no later than October 9, 2024.. This is how we schedule your transportation pick up at your destination. Guests who do not submit their air information by the deadline will forfeit their included transfers.

The closest airport is Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). Transportation is only included from this airport. The included transportation is a "shared transfer," which is a shuttle that may make stops at other properties. Guests are able to upgrade to a private vehicle at their own cost, see booking form for details.

If you would like assistance with air, we are happy to help! There is a $75 ticketing fee included in all of our air quotes.

what happens if i don't book with alpaca your bags?

what happens if i don't book with alpaca your bags?

The couple has paid a deposit to pre-reserve rooms for your group. They have a group contract that allows them to offer additional benefits for their guests.

The group kindly asks that you book your hotel within our designated group contract here at Alpaca Your Bags Travel.

There are several reasons why you should honor the group's wishes and book the hotel portion with the group:

  • The group has worked with me to negotiate a contract for the ENTIRE group. This includes a special set rate and included transportation.
  • Groups are given priority status at the resort, so you might miss out on some VIP treatment.
  • Groups are given priority room assignments, so if you book directly, you're likely getting a room that couldn't be sold to a group. It will be leftover inventory, probably in a undesirable location away from everyone else.
  • Groups are given priority in terms of an oversold situation. If the hotel over sells, your group is protected but his reservation is not. You could be walked to another location.

Guests who do not book within the group contract unfortunately:

  • Will not get the group rates
  • Will have to pay up front vs. over time.
  • Will not receive any pre-departure, trip support or post-trip support from me.
  • Unfortunately I cannot assist with travel arrangements made outside of the group, nor can I assist in the event of an emergency.
  • Will be required to pay a day pass on property to attend wedding events. Note: Day pass sales are extremely limited due to covid occupancy restrictions.

Reservation Form

If you have questions about the form, please email me at: ashley@alpacayourbags.com

Hi! I’m Ashley Morris; I’m the owner of Alpaca Your Bags Travel. Our name might be funny, but our service isn’t. As we enter our 8th year in business, I’m honored to help wedding couples, families and groups across the U.S. to make their travel dreams a reality. If you’re a Destination Wedding guest, you’re probably thinking, “Who is this person and how did my friend find her?”

Here are a few fun facts about me:

I started Alpaca Your Bags after spending 15 years in corporate marketing and advertising. Before travel, I worked in retail marketing at Target and Kohl’s as well as advertising agencies in New York City. Alpaca was born in my apartment on the Upper West Side of Manhattan

I am a former Destination Wedding bride myself! My husband Matt and I dragged 65 of our closest friends and family to Bavaro Beach, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Matt is active duty USAF; we are currently in Warrensburg, MO - just south of the Kansas City area.

I work with couples all over the world and have clients in nearly every US state. In 2021, we will book & service over $1.5 million of travel for wedding groups, honeymoons, family reunions, vacations and more.

If you’re planning another vacation, I’d love to help you! Message me for more details on how we can work together.
