And it's usually the right one.
Beautiful beaches, easy flights from the east coast, resorts built specifically to host groups of people who want to eat, drink, and celebrate without lifting a finger — the Caribbean just works for destination weddings in a way that's hard to argue with.
WHY THE CARIBBEAN
Figuring out which island actually fits your wedding. Because they're not interchangeable. The Dominican Republic and Jamaica are about a 90-minute flight apart and feel like two completely different worlds.
Getting that choice right — for your guest list, your vibe, your vision — that's what we bring to the table.
We've worked with Caribbean resorts long enough to know which ones actually deliver on their promises — and which ones look better in photos than they do in person. That's not information you'll find on any booking site.
And it's usually the right one.
If we had to pick one destination that consistently delivers — for big groups, for families, for couples who want modern resorts and real flexibility — it's the DR. The inventory is real, the resorts are current, and the wedding infrastructure actually holds up when you're hosting a hundred people.
We recommend the DR most often not because it's the default, but because it fits the most couples. It can do big and small, families and adults-only, elaborate and intimate. Our job? Figuring out which corner of it is right for yours.
The one that works
for almost everyone.
If Punta Cana is the life of the party, La Romana is the friend who shows up with better wine. Quieter, more settled, with a stretch of coastline that doesn't feel like it's trying to compete with anyone. It's a great fit for couples who want the Dominican Republic but want it to feel a little more like they found it themselves. And if your group is into excursions, it sits close to Saona Island — which is exactly as beautiful as it sounds.
Punta Cana is the DR's main event, and it earned that reputation. More all-inclusive wedding options, more modern resorts, more flexibility on guest count and budget than anywhere else in the Caribbean. Families, big groups, adults-only celebrations — it works for all of it. For East Coast couples especially, the flights are short and direct, which means your guests actually show up happy and ready to celebrate.
Most couples have never heard of Miches. That's honestly part of the appeal. It's on the northeast coast of the DR — lush, mountainous, sitting on pristine beaches that still feel like a secret — and it just started getting the all-inclusive resort options to match. A Miches destination wedding right now feels like the DR before everyone found the DR. If that's your kind of thing, let's talk before everyone else figures it out too.
Jamaica has a personality unlike anywhere else in the Caribbean. The mountains are greener, the culture actually shows up at your wedding, and there's a laid-back energy here that the DR — for all its strengths — doesn't quite replicate. Couples who want Jamaica usually feel it before they can explain it.
Where you should get married in Jamaica depends on how your guests are traveling, what kind of week you want them to have, and honestly — how much the vibe of the location matters to you. That's the first thing we figure out together.
For couples who know what they want (and feel it).
Ochi is Jamaica at its most lush — green in a way that feels dramatic and alive rather than just tropical. It's a great fit for couples who want their guests to actually do something (Dunn's River Falls, river tubing, the kind of excursion day people talk about for years). Worth knowing it's a longer transfer from the airport, so factor that in for guests with tight connections.
Montego Bay is Jamaica's most accessible starting point — and the one that works for the widest range of couples. The airport is right there, the water is that specific shade of blue people picture when they think Caribbean, and it has the most modern resort options on the island. If anyone on your guest list is nervous about Jamaica feeling too rustic, Montego Bay is usually what changes their mind.Ocho Rios
Seven Mile Beach. That's really the whole pitch. Negril is for the couple who saw that stretch of white sand — and those sunsets — and decided that's exactly where they're getting married. The pace is slower, the resorts lean more relaxed, and the whole place feels like it was designed for exactly this kind of week. If your vision is barefoot and unhurried, Negril already knows.
St. Lucia and Antigua are two islands we'd actually put on the list. Both have all-inclusive options that work for weddings, both are genuinely beautiful in a way that's hard to argue with, and both come with a travel day that's longer than most couples realize going in.
For most U.S. guests, getting there means a connection — sometimes two — which stretches the trip considerably. Longer travel days usually mean asking your guests for a longer stay, and that's a real thing to factor in before you fall in love with a destination.
If one of these islands has been calling you, bring it up. We'd rather have that conversation early than have you find out later.
Here's something many couples don't know: Aruba and Curaçao sit below the Atlantic hurricane belt. Way below. Direct hurricane hits are statistically rare — which means if weather flexibility or a specific date matters to you, these two islands deserve a serious look.
Both have a few all-inclusive resort options. Aruba is the more polished of the two — think pristine beaches, consistent sunshine, and a resort infrastructure that's built for exactly this kind of trip. Curaçao has more personality, with its Dutch colonial architecture and a vibe that feels genuinely different from anywhere else in the Caribbean.
If "hurricane-free Caribbean wedding" is what you've been Googling at midnight, you've found your answer. Let's talk about whether Aruba or Curaçao is the right fit.that conversation early than have you find out later.
"Our guests worked directly with Ashley on travel booking, which took the stress away from us."
She kept us organized with a spreadsheet that listed all of our guests, their travel information, their hotel stay information, travel insurance information, etc., etc. All of our guests worked directly with Ashley on travel bookings, which took a lot of stress away from us. I cannot recommend hiring a travel coordinator, and hiring Ashley enough!

Destination weddings are NOT one size fits all. In this FUN part of the process, we’ll use our experience and expertise to determine the country, region, and resort/venue that suits your wants and desires.
We have detailed information on MANY resorts and destinations, and if we don’t have it, we can get the most up-to-date, accurate info (and fast!), so that you make the right decision for you.
By this point, we’ve taken your general vision of “whens” and “wheres” and figured out the specifics. Now we’re going to single-handedly tackle the “how” for you.
We’ll handle all communication and negotiation with the venue for contracts, deadlines, special requests, etc. Then we’ll build your project management board – where we keep track of all big and small to-dos going forward.
